The location of the hotel is excellent, overlooking the harbour, and the young lady on reception who greeted us (sorry, didn't get her name, but she looked early 20s with long dark hair) was very friendly and helpful and offered to take one of our bags up to our room for us (my husband uses a walking stick and struggles to carry any bags), which was very kind of her. We had booked into the Alphonse Allais suite, which is huge, with a lovely big comfortable bed, a table and chairs, sideboard, leather sofa, coffee and tea making facilities, a fridge, water, wine, champagne, a safe, a writing area in the lobby of the suite, a massive bathroom with twin sinks, a round jacuzzi bath, and a large walk in shower. The room also has a view over the harbour and the Lieutenance building, Hotel de Ville and carousel and, finally, the piece de resistance - a huge circular smoky mirror which is also the television. The breakfast room is just down a few stairs from the room, and there is a lift is near the breakfast room. The hotel does not hsve on-site parking, but we parked just across the road in St Catherine's car park which is metered (Eur 30 for 25 hours, yes, 25 hours). There was a good selection of items for breakfast and, although the hotel does not have a restaurant, there are plenty within a short walk - try the bistrot creperie just at the end of the hotel - theit crepe pom pom (filled with home made stewed apples and flamed with Calvados).

The welcome from the staff on our arrival and throughout our stay was really nice, all the staff spoke good English (I really must learn more French,!!!). The room had a great view over the port and town, great to wake up too, and especially good in the evening with the beautiful full moon rising while we were there. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The AC in the room was very good, and quiet and very welcome during our stay. The position is excellent for access to the town, restaurants etc. The parking although a little way from the hotel was excellent, and very well organized by the hotel. We will Definity will stay again. We highly recommend this Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful and our room, albeit a tad small, was really comfortable and we had everything we wanted. The view from the bedroom window was excellent looking out over the waterfront and the exceptional architecture of Honfleur. Being really centrally located, we went out and explored beautiful Honfleur knowing our hotel was conveniently close and we were in the middle of everything to enjoy. We'd certainly stay here again and would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Excellent location. Great water views. (Rooms 220 and 221) Small efficient elevator. Didn’t book morning breakfast but it looked spectacular. Next time. Opened windows for breeze and AC was nice. Staff professional, cheerful and kind. Reserved parking in advance but there is a lot (about 120 cars) just across street that’s much closer. Have US issued handicap placard so parking is gratuit. We didn’t occupy handicap slot / only 2 avail but walk was fine. Parking safe too.

Kimberly

Located in a lovely historic building which has been sympathetically updated to a high standard. We had a large room and a spa bath and wonderful views of the port outside. The staff were helpful and polite at all times. Unusually for a French hotel, there was tea and coffee making in the room (and it was good quality). We didn’t try breakfast as there is ample choice around the harbour a two minute walk away. We highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again.
